Advantages: Sinks well into the skin, spreads easily, lasts a long time, simple.

Disadvantages: Does have a smell- I think it's oats!, no lasting effects, simple, not rich, not best for dryness

Since my teens, I've always been aware of the hype surrounding the 'big three' Clinique products. I've used the Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion many times for years, but have never been taken by it...

First it's useful to note that this is a LOTION. It's more liquid than most moisturiser, hence the 'dramatic difference'. This isn't a bonus for me because I like rich moisturiser which is like a treat for the skin.

This lotion is a funny yellow colour which isn't appealing either. It is fragrance free but I have used lotions before with nice smells- is a smell a bad thing? Some people may like this but I think it does have a smell- it smells a bit like oats to me!

The lotion in the screw top bottle isn't a problem to use, it's bit like ketchup! Just bang a bit out onto your hand. It's quite oily rather than creamy and quite thin. You blend a bit onto your skin and it sinks in straight away. I can't note many results. It cools and moisturises yes, but not to a dramatic effect. It's not great for very dry bits.

There are no lasting effects either. As well as on-and-off, I have used this product for many months since running out of a usual, quite expensive moisturiser, and my skin is not great. This product does not improve dullness or effect blemishes.

I would recommend this for normal-oily skin, or people with sensitive skin who want a classic, minimal skin routine. I am not amazed and I don't feel great using this, sadly.

Summary: Doesn't excite me, not dramatic effects sadly!
