Advantages: Reduces dry skin and softens and smoothes the skin

Disadvantages: Lotion is rather watery and can be hard to rub in

I was over the moon to see that glamour magazine had a fantastic freebie offer on in their latest magazine which was many Clinique items. I have tried testers before for different Clinique foundations and I must admit I have been very happy with them so I couldn't wait to try a nice little freebie. I decided to go for the dramatically different moisturising lotion just because I have seen lots of reviews about this in magazines and it always seems to be popular in store displays.

The tester comes in a clear plastic tube with a light green lid on. The yellow moisturiser can be seen through the tube and it looks a very nice pale colour. The tube can easily be squeezed to give the desired amount of lotion. The tube doesn't say what size it is but I would guess about 25-30ml.

This moisturiser has no scent apparent which is actually quite nice. The lotion has a very thin consistency so only a small amount is needed to apply all over the face area and neck. Due to the consistency being rather thin I find this lotion to be rather runny and personally I find it hard to blend into the skin as it takes a long time to thoroughly rub in. I must admit that once the lotion is rubbed into the skin it is soft and smooth and there is no sign of residue or stickiness like some other competitor brands.

I don't think that this lotion gives a noticeable difference to the skins appearance however I have been using it now for a week 2 times a day and I do feel a difference in the condition of my skin. My dry skin is nowhere to be seen anymore and my skin feels a lot softer and smooth to touch.

I do like this moisturiser and I do think it works but the general price of this is £15.00 for a 50ml tube. Although this product will last a very long time I'm not sure I would warrant paying the £15.00 for it as I have used nivea and astral moisturisers before and to be honest they do just as good a job on my dry skin for a fraction of the price. If this product was about half the price then I would certainly recommend but at the moment there is nothing that makes it seem dramatically different to other lotions to me.

Summary: This lotion does work but i feel it is overpriced as it isnt that much more special that others
