Advantages: marketed really really well

Disadvantages: see text!

This moisturiser is not dramatically different! It's well marketed and its PR people make sure it's in the right magazines at the right time. It probably is the first 'counter' moisturiser girls buy (as opposed to off the shelf) and I'm certain people stick with it because it's what they know. There's a whole world of (better!) products out there, go and explore!

Right. Now I've got that off my chest...
This product has no discernable scent and it's yellow. It comes in a square bottle which actually looks a bit dated (imho).

This is all well and good but my real problem is the actual ingredients.
Dramatically Different is primarily composed of mineral oils. Mineral oils are cheap, and cannot be absorbed into the skin because the particles are too physically too big. In order to fully and effectively penetrate the skin you need plant oils. So this product doesn't absorb and instead sits on the skin. This is fine if you want to keep moisture in because the mineral oil will sit there and prevent moisture loss. Don't expect it to add moisture though because it won't. Effectively, you may as well just use vaseline or some other mineral based product because it will do exactly the same thing.

Because this doesn't add moisture, it's probably best suited to young/teenage skin, which is really how it's marketed. Once you hit the twenties though you will need something that works better. Basically, it's a waste of money. Try one of the more plant-based moisturisers if you want an over the counter product, and prepare to be amazed at the difference.

Clinique products are widely available at department stores/Boots and can be bought online by a variety of retailers. This moisturiser comes in diff sizes, starting at (I think) 30ml for £14. This may be out of date though, so I'd check the website to confirm, also to check the prices for other si
zes.

Can't say I've noticed a 'dramatic' difference having used it - and I agree with elmyras' comment about the impractical bottle - I always have real fun and games trying to get the stuff out of there!

I couldn't agree more. About the only thing I like is the bottle but even that is impractical to use.
