In this simple, conventional, no fuss, practical and only practical pumping bottle is the ultimate moisturising gel that's perfect for the nearing summer season since, on top of its highly performing moisturising action, it's so light on the skin! Since this bottle is semi-transparent you can check the amount of the remainder of this get which is always helpful.
Just like its lotion alternative, this product fails me on the fragrance category. '100% fragrance free' only means that Clinique didn't add any additional scent so you get to smell the natural scent of the raw material ingredients. And it smells like medicine. Or bitter herbs. Overall, not very pleasant. However, it does fly off rather quickly so just withstand it for 1 minute and you should be fine.
The texture and ease of application of this product is exceptionally good - well, given that it's a gel type product, this may not come as a big surprise. Because it's so watery and light, even a little amount spreads on like a dream and it doesn't feel anywhere near heavy even when you apply more than once. One pump would be more than sufficient but if you want even more moisture, you may pump once again and it will still feel very moist but never heavy or oily.
This product absorbs extremly well, leaving a lightly coated layer of moisture on the skin. It's very fresh and light, making it perfect for summer when you don't want anything but the lightest product on your face.
However, due to the fact that this is a gel, although it is extremely light, it does tend to lack the long lasting quality compared to its lotion alternative. Perhaps it's because the layer of oil which keeps the moisture is so thin that the moisture flies off quickly. Hence, it may be a little lacking for those with dry skin who are really seeking to lock in moisture. Please opt for the lotion version. This is more suitable for those with combination or oily skin I feel.
