Advantages: Great value for money, absorbs well, is light and silky, great base for make up

Disadvantages: None

Clinique has a 3 Step Skin Care regime consisting of Clinque Mild Facial Soap, Clinique Clarifying Lotion, and Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion. I have recently reviewed the first two of these products, and as you can see I have been more than happy with them, and so I expected exactly the same from this product. Luckily, I was right.

- PRICE

As with most Clinique products, this moisturiser is rather expensive. It retails at around £15 for a 50ml bottle (or £24 for a 125ml bottle), and this is the price that I paid from the House of Fraser. Given that you can pick up a big bottle of good moisturiser from drug stores for probably around a third of this price, many people might choose to opt for cheaper alternatives. However, as with all of the Clinique facial products that I have already used, a little goes a VERY long way, and hence the value for money is absolutely oustanding. I will always advise you to search online for cheaper alternatives to the high street, on sites such as ebay or Amazon. A great idea is to buy a small sample of a product online to see if it works well with your skin before you splurge on a full sized bottle.

- PACKAGING

The moisturiser comes in a small, square-ish bottle with a pump on the top of the bottle. The Clinique logo is printed on the front in silver lettering, along with a brief description of the product. On the back of the bottle, there is some more information printed about the product. The moisturiser is really well packaged and looks great, and the bottle is small enough to fit into your handbag for everyday use.

- USE

The moisturising lotion can be dispensed quickly and easily from the bottle using the pump on the top of the bottle. There is a cap that fits over the pump which avoids any spillage of the product when you're carrying it around. The pump is great and does not stick at all - I also find that it dispenses just the right amount of product - not too little, and not too much. This is great as it means you don't waste the product!

- THE PRODUCT

The moisturising lotion is a pale yellow colour, and has a very light and silky texture. It should ideally be applied after using the Clinique Facial Soap and Clarifying Lotion, although this is not essential. The moisturiser is absorbed incredibly well into the skin and immediately stops your skin from feeling tight, as it sometimes can, especially after showering. It is very hard to tell that you're even wearing a moisturiser - it doesn't feel heavy or greasy on your face at all, and instead leaves it feeling soft.

This is an absolutely great base for make up. The difference in the appearance of my make up after using this moisturiser and cheaper alternatives is unreal. My make up doesn't 'slide around' on my face with this product and instead stays put throughout the day. The colour of my make up is more accentuated and I feel that my skin looks clearer.

It is recommended that you use this product twice a day, and I use it in the morning after showering and at night just before bed. I also find that it's great to use a tiny bit of this product as a 'top-up' during the day, especially during winter months when skin can become dry.

- VERDICT

It is safe to say that this is by far the best moisturiser I have ever used. As with the other Clinique products that I have recently bought, it is a little pricey, but in the long run, it is so worth it. It lasts forever (I have had my bottle of it for around 4 months and it is not even half empty), and really does make a dramatic difference. I am absolutely delighted with this product, and would highly recommend that you make the wise decision to invest in a bottle of it.

Summary: My favourite beauty product of the moment
