I love Clinique and in a recent summer sale I stocked up on quite a bit of makeup and also got this eyeshadow brush. The RRP of the brush is £11, but as I got it in the sale I paid just £5.50, which I am very happy with and wish i'd bought a few more! Even at £11 though, I think it is still a worth while investment, and despite the reasonably low price tag (compared to other high status brands), the brush is actually really good quality and does the job well.

The brush case is thin and a pearly silver in colour. It has the clinique brand name is black writing on the end of the brush. The top end of the brush has a silver kind of 'case' around it to keep the bristles in place, this blends in with the rest of the brush. It isn't the most attractive brush, but it is nice and sleek looking and is quite a discreet makeup brush. The bristles were really scratchy at first when I used the brush at certain angles, so I would reccomend soaking the brush in some water, allowing it to dry and then using it - that way the bristles are much more gentle and friendlier to my sensetive skin and it's nicer to use it. The bristles are soft and dense however as far as I am aware they are not synthetic. Because the brush is quite thin it's nice and lightweight to use but it's thick enough to get a good grip of it.

The tip of the brush is slightly curved which allows more accurate application and even coverage. The brush is great for more pigmented eye shadows, and it applies the powder evenly, giving a nicely pigmented layer of colour to the eyelids rather than a streak. With dazzle dusts I would not reccomend this brush as it's a little too large in my opinion. The brush doesn't have any difficulty picking up the colour on less pigmented eyeshadows as long as you take time applying the powder evenly to the brush (this can be achieved by simply swerling the brush in the powder).

This is quite a multi purpose brush and I have used it to apply bronzing powders and blushers. It does not cake or streak the powder, doesn't clog in the pores and it is a great brush to use for blending, especially along the hair and jawline. It's great for precise shading and although the surface of the brush isn't huge, it''s really good at picking up a generous amount of powder and it blends the blush/foundation briillantly. It's great for accurate and neat application.

The brush is easy to clean and is fine to wash with water, however I rarely need to wash it as the residue usually falls off easily rather than getting trapped and clumping up. Despite this, I do wash it along with my other brushes around once a fortnight to ensure the brush is not holding and nasties such as dirt, oil, etc. To ensure my brush is nice and clean I add a drop of tea tree oil. I have washed this brush 2 times so far and the bristles have stayed in shape, none have fallen out and it's still nice and soft, so overall I would 100% reccomend it - for £5.50 a brush it is a real bargain, however if you can't find any reduced then I wouldn't hesitate in paying full price.
