Advantages: Graet cleanser, Moisturiser, Gentle
Disadvantages: Price
I have been a huge fan of Clinique products for a few years now. They are one of the more expensive brands on the market but I believe you get what you pay for and I have generally been more than happy with their products. I have gradually begun to introduce my partner to a few of their products as they have extended their mens collection with very pleasing results for all you fellas out there. I tend to only buy their products when they have their regular promotion on. You buy two Clinique products and you get a huge buddle of freebies to try, which makes it excellent value for money when you team that up with the advice you can get at their counters and the fact you can try the make up and be shown how to use it before you buy. This is one of the main reasons I have stuck with them as i can try things before I buy so I know what I am buying is what I really want, though maybe not what I really need!! Anyway my partner suffers from very dry, somewhat irritated skin and shaving was a nightmare for him. I tried varies moisturisers and soothers on his skin but he wasn't too imused as this idea as it wasn't "macho"!! So I got a trial size sample of clinique's extra strength soap for him to try and he got on really well with it so I bought him the real thing when the sample ran out, weeks later! This soap is particulary for oily skin, which, based on my experience of men, seems to be the skin type of most men. Like all Clinique brand male products it is packaged in their new grey, red and white labeling. It looks as expensive as it is, coming in at a whooping £11 for 150g. The box is very well presented but to be honest it is a soap, not really something given as a present so this certainly did not affect my decision to buy it. Though I am sure at £11 you should only buy it as a present!!! The soap comes with its' own grey plastic soap dish which has the Clinique brand name on its' lid and has holes to dr
ain the water away from the soap. This is fantasic as the soap stays firm and does not go mushy or shrink due to the excess of water. The soap is unfragranced and has a natural smell simular to that of Johnsons baby products. This is a pleasant smell but nothing striking or special. The soap is to be used twice a day at morning and night in just the same way as any facial soap. You simply wet your face lather the soap up, rinse of and pat dry. The soap lathers up into a luxiourous and highly extravagant froth. You only need to rub it between your hands for a second to develop a rich lather that covers your whole face. There is no skin tightening feeling on your face after use and it feels like you have used a moisturiser. My partner works fixing computers all day and get come hope pretty grubby after crawling behind dirty computers and being stuck in a sweaty van driving all day. All that gets washed away with the soap and his skin really does look and feel clean and fresh. My partners skin has softened drastically after using this and I will certainly buy it again. his skin is smoother and not at all irrate. It has calmed his skin right down without the need for any other products which I would have to force him to use! Like most people he gets spots from time to time but this too has made their outbursts less frequent and less angry. His face is like a babies bottom - now what more could you ask for!!! Also, I have occasionally used this soap myself and have been happy with the results though I will stick to my anti bacterial facial soap. If it sounds like this may be suitable for you that get down to your nearest Clinique counter and pick up a sample of this soap and give it a try. The sample is small though it lasted as a few weeks. The full size soap we bought before christmas is about half gone so it is good value for money if you think of it as costing say about £2 a month if it lasts for six months. Great if you c
onsider it to work as a cleanser, moisturisers and a mild tooner, what more could you ask for from a soap.
