Advantages: provides excellent coverage

Disadvantages: pricey

For Christmas I received a lot of make up and fragrances as I can be very difficult to buy for so this seem to be a easy option for me. One of the things I received was this lovely brush along with Clinique Foundation . Upon research i see that this foundation brush actually retails at around £20.

The brush itself is tall and slender and at the top of the handle attached are the bristles. The head of the brush has many bristles each very soft making a large application area for applying the make up to my face. To apply the foundation I place a little on my hand and then dab the brush into it trying to cover as many of the bristles as possible. Then I make large strokes over my skin and cover as much as possible with the brush. It can reach most places but some blending is required on the hair line to make it a little more subtle.

The brush definitely gives a much better finish than when I was previously just using my avon brush to apply my foundation. It reaches all the places it needs to with and even cover making the finishing appearance of my make up a little more flawless. Its not perfect but compared to my Avon brush and previous to that when I was just using my hands to apply my foundation the "20 price tag is definitely worth it.

I have had this brush for around 18 months now and although it is a little discoloured to a beige colour and slightly thinner it is still in brilliant working order and has life left in it yet. Apparently there is a cleaning lotion for the make up applicators but to be honest I have had no trouble with good old hot water seems to do the job for me.

I personally would not have paid £20 for a make up brush but now after trying a few Clinique products I have learned that in this case paying that little bit more definitely is worth it. I have used it with my old foundations that were not Clinique and have found that actually it is the brush as the finished results are certainly improved with the use of this brush .

Summary: A briliant foundation brush
