Advantages: Easy to apply, nice sheer colours

Disadvantages: The pot doesn't have an applicator!

Just recently I've purchased a couple of products from Clinique that just haven't thrilled either me or my wallet. However there was a reason why I went to buy those items in the first place. This was the reason. My love of this product!

The Packaging....

A 7.3g clear plastic tube with a wand and a slanted sponge applicator at the end with silver writing clearly stating what the product is and who it is by on the front. The one I own is actually a small pot with a light green screw on/off lid in the colour 'Raspberry Jam'. To use mine I use one of my own applicators.

The Product Is....

Hypoallergenic, fragrance free, contains Vitamin E.

Using It....

There is no difference between the lipgloss pot and the one in the tube in the way of texture, colour etc. The only difference is the packaging. (I did ask about this!).

Application is actually easier if you buy the tube of course but it's ok if you get a pot just make sure you use a decent applicator and it's fine, so that out the way...

Yes it is fragrance free and no it doesn't irritate the lips at all. It goes on very smooth indeed and does feel a little greasy when applied but not in a pig fat kind of way it's a feeling you can cope with as it isn't heavy and the only reason you can feel it there is because that grease gives a very smooth feeling rather than lips sliding everywhere and all over the place!

It looks very gooey in my little pot but it really isn't, it goes on sheer. The colour is very natural in any of the colours available as far as I'm aware (I did test a few). It enhances lips and looks very natural but still gives an even coverage and does define shape. I personally have slight fading on some of my outline of my lips and no real bow and even though this is natural it does shape and fill in lips beautifully without having to shove loads on. Applying to much does become a horrible, sticky mess by the way! Think natural when applying this!

The shine is really sophisticated. Not plastic. Not glittery. Just naturally shiny and therefore suitable for any woman of any age. It lasts about an hour and a half on the lips with eating, drinking smoking etc and doesn't transfer and get sticky everywhere it just simply wears off over time and its not a problem just to reapply it after all.

To me this isn't just a lipgloss in the conventional sense. Yes of course it is a great lipgloss and whats more lasts ages in the tube (I've had my pot 3 months now and use it alot but hardly made an impression on it and have loads of product left!) but I've also noticed that the overall condition of my lips is generally softer and smoother and no more unsightly, dry skin which I'm very prone to.

I do advise anyone interested to buy the tube in this one and not the pot. It's jut easier to use in the tube with it's own applicator and easier to stick in your handbag. This is a lipgloss for beginners or dummies. It's just easy to use and no ph'd is required. With this Clinique does the science bit and we he have it easy, we just sploge it on and go! Simple, natural, glossy lips in seconds and no trout pout to boot!

Available in lots of shades on counters such as Debenhams (where I got mine from) in shades under the headings of nudes, tawnies, pinks and violets there's lots to choose from at around £10.00 per tube. I can't remember if my pot was free through a promotion or I bought it as I got alot from the counter at one go!

Summary: A great, easy to use, natural lipgloss for anyone!

Sounds nice. I do like Clinique products although can't always afford them. Might take a look at this gloss when I'm next in Boots. Great review.
