Advantages: Can be used on it's own or on top of another lipstick, Just the right amount of gloss

Disadvantages: More expensive than most High Street glosses

If you haven't discovered this beauty essential by now - it's time you gave it a try.

I stumbled across Clinique glosswear purely by accident. It was one of their free miniatures that they give away now and again when you buy two or more products.

The shade they were giving away was 'Air Kiss' - and this is the shade I've been using most, ever since. I am pretty sure that this is their best selling colour and probably the secret weapon of many a celebrity.

Air Kiss is such a brilliantly neutral shade. If you wear it on it's own it just brings your natural lip colour to life, but you can also use it over any lipstick colour just to add a little warmth and gloss.

The 'Gloss' element is just right too. None of this has-she-or-hasn't-she just dribbled look, which I find a bit slutty. This is a luscious sheen that adds polish, not glare.

More good news - it's not sticky! This is one that won't attract stray hair like a magnet, and doesn't make your lips feel all tacky. It's just a bit glupier than normal lipstick.

It won't dry your lips out at all either, as it acts like a balm.

Another feature that you wouldn't normally think of, is the sunscreen. Your lips have no natural protection from the sun (sun? What sun?) so on those rare occasions when they might be in danger of getting frazzled, this offers an SPF of 8.

The packaging is rather nice - see-through at the sides and at the top so you know which colour it is straight away. The product last and lasts so it's probably only a once a year investment.

The scent is very subtle so you won't dislike it or eat it all off!

I've heard good reviews about most of the colours so you're sure to find one that's perfect for you.

I find that having a favourite glosswear is also a great standby when you want some more freebies. At £8.00, it's one of the
cheapest items from Clinique and always makes a good second product when you need to buy two to get another free set of miniatures, during 'Bonus Time'.
