INTRODUCTION - WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT? Clinique are a fairly upmarket brand designed for sensitive skin as it is allergy tested and 100% fragrance free. Its a no frills no fuss brand, its all about the skincare, not about gaudy bright packaging or celebrity endorsement. Clinique sells on word of mouth as it is a well respected brand known for getting good results, and also for being a godsend to people like me with sensitive skin, who have been let down by the harsh chemicals in other brands. I always thought Clinique products were over-priced and over-hyped. I never saw what was so good about them! A friend recommended me this particular product and said it's absolutely brilliant, you can choose which one, out of 3, is going to work best with your skin type. I questioned her abit more as I was abit worried it might react with my skin as I have to be really careful what face wash, face cream and make-up I use. In my younger days when shopping in department stores I was always facinated by the beauty departments, The smells, the colours and the luxurious displays always managed to draw me in like a magnet. I was recommended to try this facial soap by the in-shop clinique beautician, who may have been a little biaised, as i complained of an oily t-zone and dry cheeks. she said it would mattify the oily bits whilst softening the dry bits. hooray, i thought, and armed with my little tester i skipped off homewards, heading to the bathroom to lather up and give it a bash. the soap is actually a gel and does come up into a nice lather with a bit of perserverence. i had high hopes for this wee soap - i'd hoped that it would balance my skin out nicely without drying it out. however. even while i was covering my face with the soap, i could feel it drying ...  Read the complete review

I first discovered this facial soap when I saw an offer on at Boots. I think it was for extra points when you buy 2 Clinique products and a free gift. So I thought it was worth a try, as I have already tried their all about lips and was very pleased with that product. I've previously tried different facial soaps and found that some of them were quite abrasive. I hate the dry feeling that certain facial washes gave me. The Clinique advisor recommended me this soap, as it's a liquid and is very mild on the skin.
