I'm loving this facial soap (Clinique Liquid Facial Soap)

Advantages: Has shrunk my large pores, not too drying on the skin

Disadvantages: Not cheap

I have never bought expensive brands like Clinique as I cannot afford them. This was a birthday gift from a relative that I don't usually see much of.

**** Using It***
When I first scoop some of this soap onto my hands, it looks more like gel than actual soap. If I put my finger on what it reminds me of, I would say that it is a lot like Simple's foaming facial wash, both in terms of look and smell. The most noticeable difference between the two products for me though (other than the price!) is that this doesn't seem as drying. I have used the simple facial wash in the past and it tended to dry more skin out a lot but this wasn't the case here. It lathers up easily on a moderately wet face, and I only need to use a small amount to feel as though I have properly cleaned my whole face.

***The Results***
As I have previously mentioned, this does not seem to be too drying, although my face does feel "tighter" than before. On closer inspection, my pores look smaller and less visible which is great considering that my skin is very oily and has a tendency towards large open pores and blackheads. This has not happened overnight though and I have been using this facial soap for a couple of months now on and off before I have really noticed the difference.

***The Price***
It costs £12.72 from Boots for a 200ml bottle. I know it sounds like a huge amount for what is basically a soap, but given how little I seem to use it should last for a good while and be a fairly good investment. Once my current stuff runs out, I am very tempted to break the habit of a lifetime and actually buy one of the more expensive brands as I really like this facial soap.
