Advantages: Makes lips very glossy, makes lipstick stay on longer.

Disadvantages: Very sticky, expensive.

This long lasting glosswear by Clinique is one of the several items I got free in my free gift by Clinique that I received a while ago. It is only a mini version and is only 2ml compared to the usual 6ml size that Clinique sell.

The colour is a very light pink, it does not state the name of the shade but judging by the colours shown on the Clinique website, I am pretty sure it is 'air kiss'. There are many other colours available ranging from pinks to golds, some bold and some more subtle colours. Air kiss is more of a subtle colour and so I don't see much change in the colour of my lips after applying this.

If you like glossy lips and not much colour then I would recommend 'air kiss', I cannot recommend any others as this is the only shade I have tried. If you like colour added to your lips by a lipgloss then I would not recommend this shade and instead opt for one of the more bolder colours.

As I got this free I cannot complain about the colour. I would have preferred a more bolder pink instead but I still make use of this lipgloss by applying it over my lipstick. It not only makes my lips very shiny and glossy, which my lipstick does not, but it also makes my lipstick stay on longer.

The gloss itself is very sticky and when applying it with the applicator brush (which you can see in the picture above) it does need a few strong strokes on the lips otherwise it won't transfer from the sponge brush onto your lips much. I am not used to the feel of lipgloss like this on my lips as I usually just wear lipstick or one of my other colour lipglosses which I don't think are 'sticky' compared to this, however it doesn't put me off using it, it just takes some getting used to!

I always need to top-up my lipgloss a lot, especially after having a drink or eating. I am not sure if this glosswear lasts for 8 hours like it is supposed to. Personally it has never stayed on my lips for 8 hours but then I have yet to discover a lipgloss that does! I always ignore the part when products state how long they last, as I never believe they actually do.

This costs £14 from all Clinique counters, which can be found online, in Boots and Debenhams. I think this is quite expensive for a lipgloss and I have never paid this much for any lipgloss before. Therefore the price would put me off buying this after I have ran out, even if they do have other colours available that I would like more than this one.

Summary: Nice for making my lipstick stay on longer, but not when worn by itself.
