Advantages: Lovely product to apply and use and makes your skin feel fab

Disadvantages: Pricey!!

I must admit, I love this product. I was introduced to it by a friend who suggested I tried it, and now have developed an expensive addiction.

When you open the pot and the apply the product, you are in for a surprise - instead of the traditional style heavy creams that are usually marketed for dry skin, there is a light gel like consistency to the product. It is lovely and cooling to apply to the skin, absorbs easily and is non greasy. The best bit of all is that your skin feels somehow cushioned and silky soft and ready to face the elements (especially important now we are approaching winter).

Because the gel applies so smoothly and easily over the skin, you don't actually need to use much at any one time - so you need to avoid the urge to splurge it all over your face just because it feels nice to do so, and just use the bare minimum to make the pot last longer!

The gel is completely fragrance free, so won't clash with any other products you are using.

Now Clinique say that you need to use this product in addition to your moisturiser. The sceptic in me thinks that this is probably a wheeze to get you to buy two products. I actually use this instead of a moisturiser and it works just fine - no need to spend out on two products to do the same job.

Clinique say that it is the micor-molecules that make this product last for a full 12 hours - can't say as I understand the science bit, but this product certainly works for me.

OK - harsh reality time - this is a premium product with a premium price tag - £30 for a 50ml pot. But if you fancy some pampering for yourself and your skin, give this a go.

Summary: Great product for great skin (with a great big price tag)
