Advantages: Fits in purse easily. (Because buying them leaves purse empty) Easy to open.

Disadvantages: Unbelievably pricey, feelings of guilt after use.

I was just sorting out one of my suitcases and came across one of these that a friend had given me as I was coming home from America. He wanted me to be able to refresh myself on the way home and he put three of these and some other little goodies in a little bag for me.

I used two of them on the way home and they did a lovely job. My skin felt freshened and moisturised. The scent is minimal, just a little like cucumber. It didn't linger. They didn't cause any irritation to my eyes or lips.

The sachets open easily and the wipe is about ten inches square. It stayed moist for long enough to give my face, neck and hands a decent wiping over. I think you could just put this over your face and leave it, like a face mask, but it doesn't stay damp for that long. The individual pack is not recyclable but I imagine the box they came in is. I didn't see it so I don't know.

Looking on the web, Clinique claim that these little squares will
"# Instantly hydrate & strengthens skin moisture barrier
# Soothe & plump skin to soften fine lines
# Leave skin smooth, dewy moist & comfortable."

To be fair, the wipes did all of this but.....and it's a big but! They cost at least £6.00 each! If I had known that I probably would not have been able to bring myself to use them!
A box of six of these wipes is currently retailing at around £35- £45.00.

£6.00 would feed a family for a week in some parts of the world and I cannot see how this price could be justified. The wipes contain Aloe vera oil and water, according to the website. Well we know how much water costs, next to nothing! Aloe vera can be expensive but £6.00 would buy a fair sized bottle of it.

I like Clinique products. They are expensive but they do the job, I always use the moisturiser but usually wait until it's on special offer. Their make up range is good too. Having said all that I just cannot understand what Clinique are playing at here. It seems hugely expensive to me and the results although pleasant, come nowhere near justifying the outlay.

Whilst it was very kind of my friend to give me these wipes, (Half a boxfull!) I question his sanity in buying them in the first place. I'm kind of hoping they were a free sample or something!

So there you have it. A handy little square that will freshen you up and leave your skin moisturised. Nothing more, nothing less.

A very expensive treat for your skin when you are on the go.

Myself, I'd rather go to Boots, buy some Aloe Vera wipes for about £4.00 for 50 and give the money I saved to charity.

Summary: Don't buy these, you will only be paying for the name.
