Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara I don’t really have much trouble with my eyelashes, I’m very dark-haired so I wouldn’t say mascara would be top of the list of things I would take to a desert island with me. I know that to some women choose it as their 'number one couldn’t live without item', but I’d say mine would be blusher or bronzing powder of some kind. However, I would rule it out completely from my make up bag and it’s always good to accentuate what you’ve got... I mean isn’t that why wonder bras were invented? If I were to take a particular type of mascara to a desert island with me though, it would definitely be this one. I have tried ... Read the complete review

~~Help, my Mascara's gone wrong!~~~ I swore by MaxFactor Mascara, it was an essential item in my make-up bag and I wouldn't go anywhere without it. I had been using it for so many years and I had no intention of swapping to another brand. Once I find something I like I stick with it, I'm not one of these experimental types with make-up, well apart from the odd change of colour. Anyway, my concerns started last year when I bought a new mascara from Max factor to take on holiday. When I got there is just wasn't the same product. it clogged from day one and just wouldn't apply right no matter what I did. I thought maybe I bought a duff one and ... Read the complete review

I've never paid for it. I don't have to. I'm such a loyal customer I get freebies! OK, enough of the cheap inuendos, I'll come clean. I'm talking about Clinique's most basic mascara. I've yet to know of a 'Bonus Time' giveaway promotion from Clinique that hasn't included one of these marvels. The truth is though that it was quite some time before I actually tried it. I was a stickler for my old lash building waterproof, bulletproof one, and it wasn't until this ran out and I needed one, quick (!) that I bothered to give it a go. Well, I'm a convert. Unless I'm going swimming, or out ... Read the complete review

As a contact lense wearer I have had a certain amount of trouble finding a mascara that I am happy with. They can't be waterproof as the only way to get this type off is with oil based cleansers and these make my lenses smeary. They can't have any bits in so this knocks out all the mascaras that promise longer thicker lashes as they all have fibres in. As you can imagine this doesn't leave many to choose from. The other criteria that they must fulfil is to stay on and not go all smudgy if a contact lense crisis should ensue and has to be taken out for a wash. Well I am pleased to announce that my search is over ! YAY! My prayers have been answered ... Read the complete review
