Advantages: Soothes that burning

Disadvantages: A bit expensive

Ok, maybe that title was a bit strong. It's not quite in the "life-saver" league. I mean, if you're having a cardiac arrest a defibrillator would be much more use, and if you've fallen out of a place I think you'd rather have a parachute with you than a bottle of this, but you know what I mean.

Now I don't want to sound like a wimp, but along with quite a lot of other men I suffer from razor rash (or burn depending upon what mood you are in!). I try to reduce this as nuch as possible by having a hot shower before shaving, using a good shaving cream, and a Mach 3 razor, but I still suffer from terrible (again, there are worse things, but it feels bad at the time!) razor burn on my neck and chin.

I've tried all sorts of moisterisers and after shave balms to try and reduce this, and whilst there are quite a few good products on the market (Nivea do a good balm, especially the one for sensitive skin) I think the best product is Clinique Post Shave Healer. It has the obligatory aloe vera to try and sooth the skin, is very light to put on and quickly takes away that stinging sensation. According to the packaging it also helps heal any small cuts. I don't know whether this is true but it certainly relieves my pain in the morning!.

The packaging is very good, you know, in that trendy masculine grey that is all the rage for mens products these days. The only down side is that it is quite expensive (about £13.00 for a bottle) but as it works, I think it is worth the extra money.

It took me ages to convince my husband to stop using my lotions and potions and get some of his own stuff. I ordered this to moisturise his skin and alleviate razor burn. He is very impressed and just asked me to get him another bottle! Great review btw! :-)

I'm not telling Michael about this! Clinique is only affordable for the GIRLS in our house! Just joking.
