If you have read my other Clinique review you will know I love products which make my weekday morning routine just that little bit quicker and easier. This product ticks all the boxes for me.

As with all Clinque's range - it is fragrance free, because this is an eye product it is also Ophthalmologist tested - might sound like another skincare brand claim - however its very important to me as I have sensitive eyes and occasionally wear contact lenses.

The product as with all of Clinique's make-up range comes in their floral packaging box. Once opened The Quickliner is a slim pencil like shape with the eye pencil one eye and the other end has a smugger tool to create a smoky eye look.

Back to morning - This takes me about 20 seconds to apply to both eyes. The pencil is a very soft, crayon like as opposed to a pencil. It does not need sharpening, instead you reveal more of the crayon by twisting the barrel. Personally I don't like the old fashioned eye pencils which need sharpening as I find the pencil too hard and needs repeated rubbing over the same area to achieve a build up of colour.

I only use this on my bottom inside eye lid, I literally need to sweep it back and forth over each eye once to achieve a dark black colour leaving my eyes well defined, complimenting my other make-up and ready to go to work, this is important to me as some eye pencils I have used in the past needed the colour to be layered up, back and forth, I found this irritated my delicate eye area.

I have not used the smugger tool in all the years I have used the product as I don't use this on my eye lids - I prefer a liquid eye-liner for here and only use when I am going out.

So how does it last? I find the product lasts all day - at least until I come home from work, If I come home and am going out for the evening I apply another quick slick of this to freshen up my make-up. I have never had a problem with this clumping in the corners of my eyes or running.

The actual product itself usually lasts me about a year - I can't understand the recommendation to throw out eye make-up after six months - I would never finish this in six months despite using everyday and I certainly would not consider throwing it out especially since I refuse to share my make up with anybody else.

Value for Money: I think so - you get the smugger tool, the product lasts me a year of everyday application and it saves time - so quick to apply no need to build up colour as it is so effective and no need to sharpen.
