So at some point, I think every girl starts the quest for the perfect red lip. But with so many lipsticks on the market, where does a girl start? Clinique. Or my quest did anyway. I have always been a big fan of clinique as their products have never let me down so I went straight there for a consultation. They used the high impact lipstick in the perfect red colour which suited my skin tone, and the quickiner for lips. I had never used a lipliner before as I never really went for the strong lipstick look, so can't comment on the other colours, but for the statement red lip, this lip liner is a must. I have number 12 'deep red' and it is great.

I have tried the red lip look without lip liner when I have been in a rush, and it just doesn't cut it really. Still looks good but just not as precise as when using the quickliner. The quickliner is really easy to apply as it is so smooth. You can get a really precise line which doesn't bleed and lasts all day, despite eating and drinking. I always top up on lipstick, but don't have to with the liner, so it also lasts for ages. I can't remeber how long I have had mine for but no signs of it wearing out.

The other great thing is that it is self sharpening, so no messy pencil shavings, or looking around for a sharpener. You just twist the bottom of the plastic casing and the pencil moves up.

At £12 it does seem quite expensive but I can really say it is worth it.
