Advantages: Does reduce redness somewhat

Disadvantages: Expensive and not suitable for dry skin

I have rosacea and so I have tried quite a few product over the years to try and combat it. My last reviews was another one of the Clinique Redness Solutions and it wasn't a very good one. I'm afraid to say that this review is also somewhat negative. Unlike a cream, which is supposed to solve the problem, this loose powder is used to cover it, used either under or over make-up (I was told by the Clinique consultant). So that's it's purpose and as you can see in the picture above it comes with a brush and the powder itself is in a 24g glass pot with a silver lid, which cost me £24.50 from Boots.

The first thing I would recommend if you have sensitive skin is to use your own brush to apply this product, as I found the one that comes with it to be quite scratchy. The product is a loose powder, so I would also advise using it prior to putting your top on as you will end up with powder all over your clothes.....and it doesn't brush off.

I have dry skin so I found that using a powder actually made my skin look worse and dried it out. So this product wasn't for me. Having said that the powder did seem to reduce the redness of my cheeks. It provided light coverage so if you are looking for full coverage try something else.

All in all it did reduce the redness in my skin somewhat, but didn't suit my dry complexion, in fact it made my wrinkles more pronounced.

Summary: Give it a try as long as you don't have dry skin, totally unsuitable for that problem.
