***What is so special about Clinique's redness solutions range?***

This was a breakthrough for Clinique when they brought out their new redness solutions range last year. What is so fantastic about the range is how Clinique's guiding dermatologists have used all their expertise of what causes and aggravates redness and made sure their products are oil free (an aggravator of redness), are calming and soothing and are completely for sufferers of rosacea (a chronic condition of redness) and for those with the most sensitive skins.

Clinique has also understood that there are two types of redness sufferers:
1. People with temporary flare ups/redness which come about due to particular factors for example, the weather or drinking alcohol
2. People with permanent/ongoing redness

***What is this daily protective base?***

This daily protective base is the perfect makeup base which is perfect for both types of redness sufferers, it smooths the skin and it is green in colour (to neutralise the redness). It also contains SPF 15 to protect the skin which is extremely important for redness sufferers. It is £14.00 for 40ml, only a very small amount is needed so it lasts a very long time.

***What else is in the redness solutions range?***

Also in the range is a redness solutions cleanser which removes makeup thoroughly yet gently whilst soothing the redness (this is for people with permanent redness) RRP: £15.00. They also do a redness solutions daily moisturiser which relieves visible redness and and improves the skins texture and feel. This retails at £34.00 and is for permanent redness sufferers. The last product in the range if only for people who have temporary flare ups, it is called urgent relief cream, which instantly relieves the flare up of redness (perfect as an emergency cream).

***My opinion***

I have tried this protective base on my temporary flare ups which tend to be from the weather in harsh conditions, and it is fantastic at instantly reducing the redness so I no longer look like 'Rudolph the red nosed reindeer!' Not only that but I have used it as a make-up base too because of the SPF and it made my make-up last so much longer.
