Since Clinique are one of my favourite brands (due to the fact that they cater well to my skin and are animal friendly) their rinse-off eye makeup solvent seemed too good to be true. The blurb claims that it is a "fast, water-rinsable eye makeup dissolver" which "cleans up eyes easily without disturbing other makeup". The question is, can any product really clean up eye makeup without making you look like a panda, and without interfering with any other makeup you might be wearing? The answer is: possibly. This clear liquid is encased in a very attractive transparent peacock-green/blue bottle and is fragrance free. I am inclined to say ... Read the complete review

This is a review of Clinique's rinse-off eye makeup solvent. I've had my 125ml bottle for more than a year now, it literally lasts ages! ^^^Why buy this one?^^^ I was originally attracted to this as an eye make up remover as my normal cleanser seemed to work but I always woke up the next day with black panda smudges with the remainer of mascara my cleanser had failed to remove. ^^^Oil free - yes!^^^ With the Clinique eye makeup solvent, it promises to be oil free so you can immediatly reapply makeup if you've made a mistake or are going out from day to night. I've tried oily removers and whilst they work a treat at getting the product off ... Read the complete review

I use a liquid eyeliner and mascara everyday, so I need a decent eye make-up remover. Well, I certainly don’t want to wake up looking like a bamboo eating teddy bear! I’ve tried most tricks in the book, from using soap and water all the way through to leaving it all on over-night and building up the layers – euurrrgghh! Most of the actual cleaners I’ve used have either been too greasy and they seemed to smear my eye make-up rather than remove it, or, I need to rub really quite hard. Not something us ‘young’ ladies should do (if we want to keep the crows feet and lines away). This is where ‘Clinique ... Read the complete review

I am not renowned for wearing make-up on a day to day basis. This has a lot to do with laziness on my part coupled with a long-held belief that it is nice to have somewhere to 'go' with your make-up in the evenings. And it is in the evenings that I sometimes 'go' a little mad, being a fan of eyeliner and mascara. However, I am frequently to be seen of a late night, attempting to chisel the gunk back off again - finding that my eye make-up choice seems to vacilate between a. will not be moved by water, but will be moved by pillowcase and b. runs all over face, towels, cloth etc, etc. You notice I use the word 'water' here - ... Waterproof mascara won't wash off with your cream cleanser or facial wipes? Oil-based cleansers irritate your eyes? Clinique's water-soluble eye make-up solvent is the answer! It is water-based and contains no oil, which means no irritation to the eyes, but it is very tough on all sorts of eye shadow and mascara. Just a little drop on cotton ball, and presto! Your eyelids and lashes are washed perfectly clean. You don't even have to close your eyes because it's not irritating at all, as gentle as water, but as tough as dishwashing liquid!! When i first saw the color, i thought it's gonna be quite stringent or irritating because it looks like nail ... Read the complete review
