Clinique Rinse Off Eye Makeup Solvent

Since Clinique are one of my favourite brands (due to the fact that they cater well to my skin and are animal friendly) their rinse-off eye makeup solvent seemed too good to be true. The blurb claims that it is a "fast, water-rinsable eye makeup dissolver" which "cleans up eyes easily without disturbing other makeup". The question is, can any product really clean up eye makeup without making you look like a panda, and without interfering with any other makeup you might be wearing? The answer is: possibly. I use a liquid eyeliner and mascara everyday, so I need a decent eye make-up remover. Well, I certainly don’t want to wake up looking like a bamboo eating teddy bear! I’ve tried most tricks in the book, from using soap and water all the way through to leaving it all on over-night and building up the layers – euurrrgghh! I am not renowned for wearing make-up on a day to day basis. This has a lot to do with laziness on my part coupled with a long-held belief that it is nice to have somewhere to 'go' with your make-up in the evenings. I got a free sample of this, and was slightly dubious. I adore clinique products, and always use their 3 step system, but in the past, I've not had too much luck with eye make up removers. Some have irritated my eyes, some haven't worked well with my contact lenses, and others just weren't very effective. This was brilliant. It removed every trace of eye-sahdow, long lasting mascara and eyeliner, and left my eyes feeling clean, fresh and unirritated.
