Good all-round foundation nice for everyday wear (Clinique Superbalanced Makeup)

Advantages: nice coverage, suits combination skin

Disadvantages: shades are very light and it's quite expensive

This is a good, basic everyday foundation but for the price, it doesn't work wonders. I used it for a number of years before recently switching to a cheaper Maybelline foundation which I'm really enjoying.
The product is sold as being good for combination skin and I would agree with this. My oily patches were certainly controlled, if anything though I would say it is perhaps a little too drying, I did sometimes have a problem with dry patches of skin on my forehead when using it and it is not the easiest foundation to blend on to skin, I often found I needed a make-up sponge to put it on. It provides a nice coverage but I find other foundations can make my skin look smoother and more flawless. Clinique staff are always helpful and are willing to colour match you and give out free testers and samples which I would definitely recommend trying. The only problem I had was that the colours seem to come up fairly light. I have very fair skin and usually pick the lightest foundations but this one was just too light, making me look quite ghost-like particularly in photos! I do think this is a good foundation and it's a nice product for everyday wear to work but for special occasions there are other products out there which do a better job, especially considering the price of Clinique make-up.
I have very sensitive skin which can be prone to break-outs and have to be very careful about what I put on my skin. Clinique Superbalanced Makeup is better than many products in this respect although you do need to be fastidious when removing it to avoid spots and clogged pores.

Summary: This foundation is nice for wearing during the day but other products provide better value for money
