This is another chemical exfoliant, great in concept, horrible in production. A bit of background information; This product is a serum, designed to penetrate the deeper layers of skin, dissolve any dead tissues, and force your skin to renew itself faster than normal. A great concept.

The product is a white thin serum, it doesn't smell of anything, and has been allergy tested like all other clinique products. Again i received this as a sample, but in reality it costs £32 for 30 mls. Clinique advise you to use this serum over moisturiser daily, morning and night. In reality, i did not use it every day, without fail and more like once or twice a week before bed.

If you've read some of my previous reviews, you'll know i have a serious issue with over exfoliating, and i think any company marketing a chemical exfoliant for daily use really needs to take a serious look at themselves. TBH not many companies do this anymore, most promote every other day, or every 2 - 3 days, and i think that clinique have showed really bad form by saying this product is suitable for daily use. In my experiance, exfoliating every day has left me with raw, broken skin, along with angry red bumps on my cheeks, but enough rambling, back to the product.

I applied it over moisturiser before i went to bed, and in the morning, i did like the effects. However, in comparison to some other chemical exfoliants i have used, they where minimal at best. Yes my skin was a bit more "glowy" but it didn't look any better in the sense of acne scars or large pores.

I feel that clinique haven't quite perfected their formula yet, or perhaps they have made it weak enough for daily use and it needs some time before the effects really kick in. Honestly, i'm glad i got this as a sample, and didn't buy it. It angers my preconceptions of chemical exfoliants, and while nice in concept, in my opinion clinique haven't got it right yet.

Summary: not to be bought
