Clinique Water Therapy Moisture Glove Hand Cream
I have had my bottle of Clinique water therapy moisture hand cream for a while now yet I can't remember going out to purchase it. I can therefore presume I got it as a free gift when I was stocking up on Clinique products which I adore and have written a lot of reviews on or I got it as a present.
**What is it and the Clinique spin**
Clinique Water Therapy is advertised as a moisture glove hand cream and being Clinique you benefit from it being allergy tested and 100% fragrance free which is good for my sensitive skin. The water it in the title comes in here as this stuff has special activated water to target and benefit the skin.
The cream is meant to be so good because it is rich and moisturising and boost the skins ability to stay moisturised and protected. It is also non greasy o provide a lasting barrier to stop hands drying and allow cuticles o stay soft and protected.
**The Packaging**
It comes in a green bottle and I have the 75ml bottle though you can get a 150 ml bottle. The 100ml bottle is approx £15. It is a light green colour with a flip style lid. It looks traditionally like any other face or body Clinique product and the packaging feels smooth but toughened.
**Use it**
Clinique advise that this should be used as needed throughout the day to protect the hands and cuticles.
The flip top opens easy and it does not get clogged up with the cream like some hand creams can. There is the slightest of aromas to this and I sense a whiff of cucumber. When you squirt out the cream onto the hand t reminds me of toothpaste or cheese in a tube! Strange I know but the cream comes out quite thick and thicker than other cheaper hand creams.
It stays put on the skin until you decide to blend. Within a few seconds of blending it works well into the skin. As it looks quite dry as a lump I find when blended it is quite moisturising to the point that the skin feels a little too moisturised. This sensation disappears after a little while though and then doesn't feel greasy. I find when worked into the cuticle it feels softer and hardworking. The cuticles do soften and my nails seem to soak up the cream better than my hands. I can put quite a bit of this into the cuticles and this stuff still blends well. I found I needed to dollops of the cream per hand so it will actually go down quite quickly. Although I don't use this daily and so it has lasted me a while. I have a few hand creams and mix between them depending on what mood I am in.
**Does it work**
I would say this is really good for the cuticles as it soaks up the cream and they do feel softer. This is good for then doing a manicure and pushing back the cuticles and then applying nail varnish. I find the consistency a little thick and strange in its application to my hands. It feels a little too thick when blending and it needs a bit of working to get the hands feeling not too moistured up.
**Overall**
This is a good hand cream but I think it is quite expensive. Clinique is a brand I am loyal too and a good brand. Being allergy tested and 100% fragrance free is good for those with sensitive skin. However I have other cheaper brands of hand creams although when I think of it they are smaller in bottle size. It does its job well but I don't think I would seek out to rebuy unless on offer due to the price mainly as the product itself is good and works.
**Buy**
It is £15 per 100ml but have a 75ml bottle so it can be bought in a smaller size. You can get Clinique online or in Boots or major department stores. I would also say this could be used by men too who want softer and more moisturised hands as well as the ladies.
Summary: A good moisturising hand cream from Clinique
