Advantages: Super cool pub with a lot of things to do, cheap

Indeks Klub is a pub and music club located in the center of Warsaw, right next to the University of Warsaw, it's one of the better pubs in town and it's location couldn't be more convenient for visitors. The pub is a little maze in an 18th century cellar which was formerly St. Roch Hospital built in 1707. There is a very nice climate in the pub, a friendly atmosphere, the staff here have always been very friendly whether it is the barman who looks like a wrestler or the black South African girl (a rarity in the city) or any of the other members of staff.

There is a small "VIP" room for private parties but we've always held large parties in the normal part of the bar and no one has complained about us using up all the chairs! This is one of my favourite pubs in Warsaw because it's possible to get Tyskie on the pump unlike most places which don't have it. The drinks are some of the cheapest, you will find in the old city yet remain high quality, there is a mix of live acts and DJ's in the evenings usually on a small stage. They often have Brazilian or Jamaican (read: salsa and reggae) nights and during the summer the pub increases it's capacity with tables and seats outside on the street, so you can watch passers by or you could go around the back in the courtyard of the University where there is a beer garden that hosts larger concerts and outdoor cinema.

They have a wide choice of drinks but I'm a beer man myself and can therefore inform you that 0.5l of Tyskie was 5.5zl* (I think it's 6zl* now)
