I am a student living in Berlin at the moment as part of my year abroad and I guarantee that every saturday night my friends and I will be partying in the capital! I have lived here since October 2007 so I have had plenty of time to experience what Berlin nightlife has to offer and I can totally see why it is one of the most vibrant and liberal cities in the world! There are clubs for everyone's music taste and electro/techno is massive over here in Germany! Ten years ago, if you were asking someone about the top 3 of the techno clubs in Germany, the answer would mostly have been: the "Omen" in Frankfurt, the "Base in Dresden and the "Tresor" in Berlin. Nowadays the "Ostgut" would anyway be in this top 3 (at least through the fact that the Base died the hero-death of a underground club). Beside the "Tresor" it is THE club in Berlin if you are looking for a good night to dance through. The Ostgut was a old store for the nearby railway-station (Ostbahnhof). It has two levels.
