The Princess Hotel:
... stayed at the Princess at Portland in Manchester during the first two weeks of November 2009 for a conference. The room was booked and paid for through my work qualifying for a discount, therefore I cannot comment on the price. The hotel is within easy reach of the main shopping & eating areas of the city. The hotel is on the edge of Chinatown - with some great restaurants within easy reach & Canal street... Read the full review: Ok hotel - needs renovating & double glazing by baileybird |

Corporation (Sheffield) ... it seems that a bit of an update on Corporation is due... Firstly, the nightclub moved quite a few years ago, and is now on the corner of Eldon Street and Milton Street, near the Devonshire Cat pub. If you re on Division street, walk down the side of the Forum Bar (with Devonshire Green on your right) and keep walking, down the side of the Devonshire Cat, and eventually you ll be stood in the queue to get into Corp. Many of the classic club nights still remain the same, Oddball, Reservoir Rocks, Hardside and Drop, however there are now new additions, such as The Skool Disco on wednesday nights, to please the student crowd and less hard-core rock fans amongst you. Oceana Nightclub (Southampton) ... m not going to lie I m writing this review with a bit of a hangover, this was ultimately caused by the alcohol i consumed last night at Oceania in Southampton. It was the first time Ive been and i thought it would be best to write the review while last nights experiences are still fresh in my mind. Firstly let me say my first time there will not be my last, it was an absolutely amazing night and i cant wait to go again. Its the first time i have been to an Oceania, i have heard a lot about them and that there is one in all the big clubbing cities of England, so when i got offered the opportunity to go, to see Calvin Harris last night i said yes in a flash, and I m so g... Gran Canaria ... the winter blues a friend and I decided that a much needed break was needed. Somewhere warm and with a beach are my only requirements said my friend. I groaned inwardly as I find the idea of a beach holiday quite boring, as I m not a strong swimmer so watersports were out. However, I d never really been on one so thought I should give it a go. After doing some research we narrowed it down to the canary islands and finally settled on Gran Canaria as it appeared to have a good range of activities for us to take part in, such as watersports (my friend is a keen swimmer) and land based activities such as cycling, quad-biking and hiking. I had some concerns about th... Read the full review: If you like beach holidays you'll love this! by ms_123 |
