Flares Nightclubs
by dramaxxqueenxx05
I've been in this club a number of times if I ever go out in Peterborough (which is the nearest Flares nigh club for me) Flares is open almost every day of the week, including students nights where you can buy certain drinks for one pound (which is a Thursday night) The best nights to go on are Friday and Saturday when the weekend ... begins! It opens about 10pm till 2am - sometimes three depending which night it is.
I've only been to flares on Friday and Saturday - it is good but sometimes me and my mates end up leaving before one to move else where!
Entry is free before 11pm, afterwards you could pay up to five pounds for entry. So earlier the better, however it is quite dead before 11 - it livens up at about 12am!
The music ranges from 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. So whatever your favorite era of music is the club always plays it! Bring back memories too! A bit like old school really.
You can also buy funky, massive sunglasses there for two pounds, air guitars for also two pounds, afro wigs for one pound fifty, tinsel wigs for also one pound fifty, glittery cowboy hats sold in the colors, purple, silver, pink and gold - so buying these funky bits and pops will help you remember you funky night out at Flares! I bought some sunglasses there once and they are actually annoying to wear cause they're so big people can bump into them - that happened to my friend and she kept getting bumped by them so many times I eventually took them off!
However, Flares is also connected with another nightclub named reflex which is sort of the same as reflex, but i don't like reflex as much as Flares.
Flares is also good if you want a book a party whether it's a birthday, leaving do, hen night, work party, what ever the ocassion is - Flares will hire the club for you! But you must be 18 or older to book, and you must book at least one-two months in adavance and cost approx 200 to hire.
However if you are celebrating an 18th birthday you are only allowed to have your party after you turn 18 or on the day you turn 18.
Personally, I do like this nightclub however it does get a bit boring at times and i end up leaving early! Sometimes it's the music - (that the usually the reason why I leave early!)
But it is worth a try you may like it or hate it however, the club, quite a few older people go so it's not always full of young people like some clubs! Read the complete review |

Amadeus Night Club (Rochester)
by Typicalalex1
Amadeus Night Club is located in Rochester in Kent.
It is a very popular night club and attracts many celebrity guests as it is so close to London.
Some of the guests I can remember are Danny Dyer, N-Dubz, Chipmunk, Tinchy Stryder and Tinie Tempah.
All of which, except Danny Dyer, performed for the ... audience.
The music it plays it the typical night club music, stuff like dance and remixed versions of popular songs.
They mix this with lasers and all different kinds of lights.
It is very big inside. Almost the whole of the walls are bars and can always get a drink. The entire middle is a dance floor with a stage in the middle for performances.
Some of the drinks they sell are:
WKD
VK
Fosters
Becks
Coke mixers like Malibu and Vodka
Soft drinks like coke and lemonade
Water
They also offer expensive drinks like £200 champagne and Crystal which will cost about the same.
This is one of the clubs that thrive on events and special nights. They do things like foam parties, wet-and-wild nights which includes strippers and pole dancers, UV nights and performances like I mentioned above. A UV night is where you turn up wearing ultra violet lighting and clothes. They also give away freebies at the door.
The club is aimed at 18-24 year olds but you do sometimes get an older audience in there but not often. They also offer an under 18's night which do basically the same thing but apart from obvious things like alcohol and strippers.
There are many facilities located inside Amadeus. There are toilets scattered everywhere, tables and seats, arcade machines and small foods machines.
They have recently had to install a metal detector at the door due to there being incidents within nightclubs recently. But somehow only the men get searched :\
Amadeus has also been part of much criticism.
I know many people who have said that they have been to an over 18's night without actually being 18 due to the poor security but they have really clamped down on that lately.
Also being in Medway, it is sometimes a hot spot for trouble but again, they have really clamped down on this. If you watch the TV show 'Street Wars' on Sky1, 2 and 3, you will often see this club on there, along with Casino Rooms also in Rochester.
This is one of those clubs which is amazing when you are 18, but you do get bored of it after a while.
Because of the reasons above, it has been given a few nick-names, such as Amagayus and Amadangerous for obvious reasons.
One of the reasons this place is so popular is because of the location. It is located next to the Motorway which means it is easy to get to from London.
There is also a cinema, restaurants such as McDonalds and Frankie and Benny's and they are building a hotel right next door.
The other main reason is the price. Some nights, girls and women will get in for free, get as many free drinks as they want before 11 and a lot of the time, most drinks are only £1 for both boys and girls.
This includes drinks like Fosters, Becks and WKD.
Out the back there is a smoking area for all those who enjoy a cigarette.
I have to separate the rating of this club in to 2 sections, one for 18-19 year olds and one for 19-24 year olds.
For 18 year olds, it is amazing because you are just starting out at this age and it is very cheap. So it's a 4 star rating, it isn't a 5 because of the downsides I mentioned.
For 19-24 year olds, it scrapes a 3 because after a while it gets boring and it is mostly for younger people. Read the complete review |

Krazy House (Liverpool)
by patrickroberts
the krazy house is a 3 floor club located on the popular wood street in central liverpool.
Its open thursday friday and saturday nights
ht etop floor (k3) is the most popular getting really full on saturday nights and at these times it could take an hour to get served at the bar, so its recommended you go down to k2 or k1 to ... buy your drinks
the k3 play a mix of popular chart music, popular indie, cheesy pop and some dance music.
k2 plays mostly indie music the likes of red hot chilli peppers and limb bizkit etc.
k1 play mostly metal and rock and 'mosher' music like slipknot and Nine ince nails
drinks are fairly cheap and on offer nights (which i tink is all nights now) they have an ALL DRINKS 241 promo, which actually isnt all drinks its just most bottles and beers, for example sambuca is £1.50 for one
Door prices can be expencive ranging from £3.50 a massive £10+ on event nights but if you get there before 11pm or you sign up to their facebook page you have a chance of getting in for much cheaper.
the bouncers can be strict but they're on and off, sometimes underage people do slip through the net but there is always bouncers walking around the club to make sure there no trouble.
the toilets are horrible - alright for lads but girls you might want to hold it in.
Whats annoying though is that they play the same music week in week out and they also sometimes play the same song numerous times in one night and even the same song on different floors!
alot of people are intimidated by 'the kray' but its fun and nobody is gunna judge you there.
the dress code is most of the time - where whatever you want, you see some people on the k1 dressed in full gothic gear but you can turn up in fancy dress, or just casual clothes and there shouldnt be a problem, unless of course it an event night e.g. halloween when fancy dress is required to get in.
age group is mostly young 18-20s but you do see people in theree 30's and 40s in there and theres no problem there
once a month they do an all nighter until 6am
most nights they close at about 4am Read the complete review |
