Advantages: i wont ever have to go there again

Disadvantages: amateurism, crap atmosphere, very poor in general

ok the last review of this club was back in 2001, so time for updates only so i can save your poor sould and save you money and time.

Ok for about 4 years now all i heard was "have u been to bagleys, wicked club mate" so i decide to give it a try. I knew it was gonna be house and what i had heard was that there were 4 rooms and it was some massive warehouse. Im thinkin yeh sweet!
So we manage to find the place quite easy and get a parking space. The area where the club is looks like it used to be an old industria estate, and i measn old the type of iron works industrial esate - no concrete. We ask a parkin attendant where bagleys is, he replies "oh its split into 3 clubs now" but the one that plays the hard house is called smile. I think that was just the event name for a saturday like how it used to be freedom. Anyways the stewared points us out to this PR who then walks us down some dirt track to the back of some dodgy lookin buildings. You cant hear any music and its looks a bit dingy. No worries it matters whats on the inside i think.
We arrive at the building to find no que. OK no worries. Theres one bouncer at the door who is so unproffesional that he starts searching one of us, then my mate gives him a red bull that he couldnt take in and the bouncer says ok u can just go in for that. We coulda had any sort of weapons. So we get in 2 the main reception which looks like a dark basement room with 2 shifty guys at the desk.
After we have paid the shifty guy says "can u write your name, email and mobile number here, oh and if you have more mates bring em down and we'll sort em out" now if this is meant to be some kinda 'superclub' why are they so desperate for people and why are they being so nice.....

...and this is where the whole review comes to a mid conclusion! In my opinion this saturday night thing is run by a bunch of amateurs who are desperate to get people in. The staff are disoga
nised and there is no proffesionilism. I wouldnt mind if it was a new club but ffs this is legendary bagleys!!!

Anyway inside there r only 2 rooms, yes 2 not 4. One plays house and the other plays hard house not much difference but tell them that. The bar has hardly any drinks, which are expensive anyway. The cloakroom staff didnt even know how many rooms the club had???? they work their dont they?
The main room is the hard house room and this is just a plain room 30m x 15m with a poxy stage. There are no lasers and the sound isnt that good. The other room is even worse so im not going to waste my time explaining it.

There were about 50 people in the whole club, 80% were off their heads which is ok if your in a massive, laser filled club like camden. Half the people looked like muppets, wearing baseball caps and such and the rest looked about 40, as if they had only ever know bagleys.

so in ther end me and my chums though f*ck this, left, drove to camden palace 10 mins away and had probably one of the best nights in there.

Conclusion - Dont go there unless u really like the old skool amateur type raves. if you want atmosphere, good sound and good lasers/lighting go somewhere like camden.
