As a student i felt it would be a good idea, actually forget that, it's my duty to bring you my review on at least one nightclub especially in the clubbing capital of Britain that is Newcastle.

let's be honest here though, is Baja really what you and I already know to be a nightclub. It doesn't have well known dj's, it's not pitch black with flashing neon lights and the music isn?t exactly up to much and yet it is probably the busiest nightclub in Newcastle.

The reason for its success is simple. It?s damn entertaining. Every night while your there the bar staff will get themselves on the stage and ?perform? which is funny enough but the people you will meet in Baja are just as entertaining in themselves.

Baja is open 6 days a week Monday through to Saturday and costs between £2 and £5 to get in though on Tuesday?s entry is free if you have an NUS card. You can also get free access on Monday and Wednesday if you show your NUS card and your there before 10 o?clock and 11 o?clock.

Baja is defiantly catered for Students with the likes of Smirnoff Ice, Becks, Archers Aqua, Bacardi Breezer, Kronenburg all available for just £2 a bottle. Having said that on certain nights you can see one or two famous footballers and the odd famous person like Ant and Dec or Jimmy Nail appear from time to time.

The club is far from perfect though, the music is probably the worst thing about the place where you end up listening to cheesy classics such as Better the Devil you know, Build me up buttercup and the Shoop Shoop song.

Overall though I know I?ll end up going back, even if it?s just to see the lovely ladies, which always seem to be there. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
