Newest Review: ... London's premier hip-hop night, on a monthly basis. Populated by a funky crowd who make you feel about as old as a pair of Run's addidas, this night is hugely enjoyable to anyone with even a passing interest in anything old-skool. The entertainment is provided by men who spin on their heads for fun - breakdancing starts at about 9.00, and continues into the night becoming increasingly frenetic and silly. There's an open mic for any rappers who fancy themselves, and the wheels of steel are spun by a selection of the finest hip-hop deejays in town. The Plug is an out-of-the-way pub with a late licence found languishing in the dead zone between Brixton & Stockwell. Interesting-ish fact - it used to be a really crappy boozer called The Plough, but the O and the H fell off the sign, hence The Plug. Recently refurbished and relaunched, it now hosts Breakin Bread, saarf London's premier hip-hop night, on a monthly basis.
