For the last 7 years, House of God has been thrashing every other club night in Birmingham hands down. Hardcore, but friendly, scary in a fluffy kind of way, techno has never sounded so good. Since settling at subway for the time being, HOG have had the chance to seriously get their act together on the DJ front (I dare you to sit down during a Surgeon set!). Despite the huge queue full of overexcited beer boys - the sight that greeted me on entering Bubble Love was as good as expected, bright and colourful banners and excellent purpose built DJ box with a great view of the DJs and a great sound system blasting out the vibes. Neil Appeal probably only known to those in and around Leicester as always played a modest set of hard house, which started off the night nicely, next up was Lonsdale, I'm sorry the guy has a nice style but he's a shit DJ.
