The Candystore - ggggeee where to begin! In plymouth there very defined clubs i feel. The Candystore in the past has been in a different place of plymouth. It now is situated on what is known as "the strip" - this is the place that is otherwise called Union Street. It is very central to the city centre, so you will more or less always be able to get a taxi during non peak times. The club itself is at the end of the strip and is purple and white outside. I have to say I do not venture down this end of town much because it has got a little bit of a rough reputation. I have been to the Candystore only once. I think that the doorstaff were quite pushy when i went in there - and although they need a little bit of toughness about them - they took it a little too far. I also saw a fight about 6 metres from me which was a little bit unreassuring. Once I go into the club the place was scattered with very young people, many of whom were definitely under 18. The music was OK, nothing special and the mixing was very basic. I found that the decoration in there was a little shabby and could of done with a lick of paint in one or two parts! Overall - i found myself a little arkward in here and was glad to get home where i felt safe. It was okay though - but won't be going there again.
