Advantages: good music, pool, fancy dress

Disadvantages: toilets weren't very clean, smoking area was on the street

We visited this club in march 2010 for my friends birthday, it was a great laugh and we had a great night!! It was £10 entry but i think its cheaper to book it in advance and also cheaper on Fridays as we went on the Saturday night. We all dressed up in various outfits and to various extremes where some were wearing just a wig and normal clothes but others had gone full out. however no one really felt that they did not fit in with the general dress code within the rest of the club.
When we got there the lady out side was very friendly especially as we were a young big group and some places often don't like this. We got in quite quick baring in mind we were not on the guestlist and had not booked tickets.
I got the feeling that the club was only really used for special occassions, as it was full of birthday parties and hen parties. But everyone was really in the mood and up for a laugh.
There is a stage in the main room which anyone is allowed on, yet there is nothing to stop you falling off the edge. The smoking area is a bit naff as you have to go out onto the street. They have a few bars which meant that they weren't all busy and there often wasn't that big a que. However the drinks were quite expensive, but pretty standard for London. There was often a que for the toilets and the cubicles were very small and could do with some decorating. As well as this there is a swimming pool in the vacinity, anyone is allowed to use it and they do have a few 'lifeguards' but i'm not sure how much lifesaving they would actually do. you have to pay £1 but you get a towel with that price which did appear to be clean. within the swimmming area there were some changing facilities, but they only had a flimsy curtain to cover them. there was also chairs on the side to place your stuff on, the pool was quite deep in the main part but there was inflatables to help!! theres also a jacuzzi in the area which appeared quite busy, however the chlorine in both was quite strong.
the music was good very 70's based but everyone was dancing.
It is based on the main street, so there was lots of people around, but in a good way that you didn't feel worried.

Summary: a great night out whatever age you are especially for an special occassion
