Colliseum going strong once more (Club Colosseum in general)

Advantages: Complete line-up of DJ's and MC's

Disadvantages: for some £20 is too much to pay for a rave, and it can get moody in certain corners.

I've just read the other opinions on Club Colosseum and I thought I should share mine. From '99 to most of '00, I was an 'Exposure' regular. Me and my girls used to see everyone in there, and there was a nice vibe as well as sexy and stylish people. Then it just seemed to get seedy; younger and younger girls (I'm talkin 13/14), increasingly moody atmosphere, shootings, queues- the list goes on. We were standing in the queue for Fonti's b-day bash, last year, when a slagging match between to girls started. The bouncer dealt with it by hitting one of the girls and then physically throwing both of them straight out of the queue. Needless to say, I didn't want to go back there in a hurry. Since then, we've been Ion bar and Subteraenia regulars (uniform cru!), yet last weekend my mate persuaded me to go Exposure. Since I hadn't been to an Exposure in months, (the last one we tried to go to got locked off) I was surprised to see hardly any cars in the car park behind Colosseum. I was even more surprised to see NO queue whatsoever, and this was at 1 in the morning. A completely new set of (white) bouncers, showed us straight in, an not one of them looked moody. And when we stepped inside, it was ram as a normal 'Exposure'. I'm sure there was better air conditioning as it didn't seem half as sweaty as it usually is. Seeing a few old faces, and the usual line-up of all the big DJ's and MC's led to a successful night. I do not know how they've done it, but Colosseum has completely turned itself around from its bad days. I'd say it's my favorite garage rave and probably will be unless it goes downhill again. If your coming to london, or your into the garage scene, then check it out. It's always going to be on that garage vibe, and with that, there does come some attitude, but if your a regular garage raver (and you won't be if your reading this opinion on dooyoo!) that's all part of the pac
kage. Anyway, after I've had one glass of champagne, everyone seems to be smiling......
