Thats what clubbers think they are-in a good way of course. Clubbers love to talk about their nights out. Typical synopsis of a night out from a clubber:

"It was crazy mate. I was soooo p***ed. I had about 10 vodka red bulls before going in and then some bloke was buying me tequilas all night. Woke up with sick all down my front wearing somebody else's shoes in a hedge" etc etc

You may gather from this, I do not like clubbing. Personally I don't see the point. Week after week, clubbers go out, get drunk, jiggle around a bit under flashing lights, throw up and spend the next day with a hang over. Very rarely can they even remember what happened. And yet, they will say to someone like me who doesn't like clubbing, that I'm boring. Now that I resent.

I don't drink to excess, can't dance to save my life and prefer to have conversations that don't involve shouting at top volume right down the ear of someone.

Dance music too does not impress me. Whenever I listen to dance music, it just reminds me of the sort of rubbish I used to churn out on my electronic keyboard when I was 7 years old.

On a more serious note, clubs are potentially dangerous places. There is a drug culture in a number of clubs. Excess alcohol makes people do things they would normally regard as idiotic and dangerous. The "elation" caused by the club atmosphere causes people to become over trusting of the people they meet there. Not only that, underage kids are drawn to these places where they indulge in all kinds of excesses they are not mature enough to handle.

Of course people have the right to choose what they get up to. The thing that really gets up my nose is people calling me boring because I don't like clubbing. Just remember, there are more things in life to experience!!

All respect to your opinion and your favourite pastime but this is the sort of thing I mean. I don't like clubbing irrespective of the club and nothing will change my opinion.

this is the kind of thing that gives people the wrong impression about 'clubbing'. People who love clubbing dont go out to get p***ed, they go there because they love the music and there is a great atmosphere. admittedly some have a few drinks and others use other substances, thats their choice. BUT the people you talk about arent clubbers, they are people who have gone out to get p***ed, then gone down to their local cheese-fest of a night, which happens to be held in place called a club, to letch over the nearest member of the opposite sex. my friend you need to visit a proper club, one which clubbers are proud to be associated with, its a completely different world and a lot more enjoyable.
