The bouncers in this night club were very aggressive. My boyfriend and I went to the club because the mix of alternative music and pop music advertised on the flyer appeared to offer a fun night. we were not impressed with the rude and aggressive way that the doorman controlled the door, this is always a bad sign for a club. there are many clubs were the doormen successfully control the door with out the use of a bad attitude. When we got into the club, 5 minutes into our night, I went to use the toilets. A male bouncer followed me into the female toilets and dragged me out and told me to use the gents. I am a hermaphrodite, and a genetic female; for a man to follow a gentic female into the toilets and tell her she can't use them because he does not like the way she looks is the extreme of sexism. We left very quickly after, because the last time it happened, at a leeds night club, the bouncers then proceeded to beat me up. There are many good night clubs where you can go and have great fun with out running into psychotic bouncers, take my advice and avoid this club.
The Office, Rathbone Place, just off Oxford Street is a great club. On Saturday Nights it is the location for Don't You Want me Baby which is a night of 70s, 80s and 90s music (though mostly 80s, which is the reason to go there). Its £5 to get in if you can pick up one of the fliers that will be lying all along the top part of Oxford Street and have a student Card, otherwise its £7.50 I think. They sell bottled booze and cocktails so it is a little pricey but where in London isn't? Lately they have played a little less 1980s stuff whichh is a shame, but nonetheless it is a great night out. The same event also takes place (or used to) at the Wag on Friday nights, but the Office is better.
