Bar Rumba @ Bar Rumba (London)
by Debs
I went to a few different clubs and bars near by first. they were so very very average nothing special. seem to be all 'trying' to do the same thing.
Then I came to Rumba. after waiting in the Que for a while. i could see from the staff that this was different. from the door staff to the bar staff they worked there because they ... loved it! they seem to love this place more than i did. that made the atmosphere inside incredible.
I had a small problem inside, i had a guy trying to chat me up he was a bit odd, so i told the staff and it was dealt with quickly and professionally. So not only do they know how to have fun they know how to run a club :)
I'm coming back asap.
When i was inside i spoke to a girl who had booked a booth free and had been given a giant martini for FREE!! as my bday is coming in up i am def going to sort that one out!!!
THANK YOU EVERYONE SO SO MUCH!!!!

~~~~~My Opinion~~~~~
I really like the variety that the cornerhouse in Nottingham offers, whether you are looking to spend and afternoon at the cinema and grabbing a bite to eat or for a full night out of meal then drinks at the various bars. You can even finish off your night at The Forum on a Saturday night or if you fancy a gamble then at the casino. It is always a really nice atmosphere as it is a place for people to relax and spend some of there free leisure time. The summer months are also an excellent time to visit the cornerhouse as the bars and restaurants on the outside of the building have outdoor seating areas so you can take advantage of enjoying your food and drink el fresco. Whether you're in Nottingham for a visit or live here then the cornerhouse has something for every age range and taste. Read the complete review |
Tooting Tram and Social (London)
by mizzy
This bar, club and restaurant in Tooting is a little gem amongst a million takeaways. Less than a minutes walk from tooting broadway station on the northern line, its like walking back in time.
Antic Pop up Pubs revamped the building and gave it a twist to attract new customers a few years ago. I didnt see it before the ... transformation, but now it is so stylishly done. The long bar stretches the length of one wall, and booths along the otherside make this long and booming building a bit cosier.
Upstairs there are some comfy sofas which are good for early evening chilling out, and the balcony is good for people watching when the club music kicks in.
On a friday they have an 80s night, which I dont like as the dj isnt great. However on a saturday its more of a house mix and is a lot better to dance to.
The only thing I think they should change is that in the centre of the room, there are still the tables and chairs even when its packed full of people dancing. They should really move them towards the side or away so that people can dance with more space and not keep banging into chairs and people.
Its not too expensive here either for London, its free entry, drinks wont break the bank. Its really the only club in Tooting so there isnt much other choice, but its done quite well and is very popular every weekend.
I wouldnt come from central London to go here, but as its my local area its a good option with a short walk home. Read the complete review |
