Premium Review Flares Nightclubs: A night out with a certain Flare (173 words)

The Flares in my home town of Cleethorpes is home to the great musical hits of the 70s. Timeless classic after timeless classic fills the air as the people dance in the great surroundings of the themed building. The facilities are all great and it never seems to be short of seats for those tired legs or dance floor for those legs that can't stop ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review FLARES- WHERE IS THE FLAIR? (717 words)

I went into town a few weeks ago with two friends.'We decided to visit Flares. It was a good few years since we'd been, so we thought it would be interesting. Flares is a chain of themed bars/clubs. Music comes from the 60s, 70s and 80s, with recently a little 90s starting to creep in. The concept is a cheesy, retro bar you can relax and enjoy, without banging bass lines and trendy teeny boppers. My local, Flares in Newcastle, is actually quite small in comparison to other locations, although ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Flares Nightclubs: A cheesy night out (194 words)
by - written on 25/11/08 (Useful, 36 readings)
Rating:

I've been to Flares a few times now and overall, they've been good nights. Don't expect to hear any credible good music in Flares, no prizes for guessing it's a 70s themed club, but the music is strictly 70s(ish, they don't always get this bit quite on the money) cheese. Expect the likes of Bees Gees, Grease medleys and the like. Songs you cringe ...  Read the complete review
