Funkin Pussy @ The African Centre

This is a really funky old skool hip hop night in a small hall in Covent Garden. The building does not look like a club at all, more like a cultural centre, which is really its main function during the day. The night starts off with break dancers warming up on the relatively small but cosy dance floor while everyone stands around in a big circle cheering them on. At this point the enthusiastic, friendly DJ plays not very recognisable old skool songs, but as soon as the break dancers have had the chance he launches into traditional hip hop and everybody starts to 'get down'.
