On a recent trip to Dublin I chose to stay at the 3 star Ormond Quay Hotel. The website wasn't wrong when it said clsoe to the city centre. The hotel is right by the river and is only two minutes walk from Temple Bar - the main area for pubs and restaurants. The reception at the hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. My room was clean and had everything I needed - although a few more toiletries would've been nice!
