Advantages: Decent music and lots of space when not busy.

Disadvantages: Can get very busy and overcrowded and the price to get in and drinks makes you frown.

I have been to The Gallery many times over the years but since the closure of the Icon and Diva Club it just seems like the whole of York seems to pack into this place and where once you could be free to dance and have a good time and now it is just where you go in and it is quite crowded and just does not have the same atmosphere it once did.

This is now coupled with the fact that it now has to compete with other clubs in town which are Tru (formerly Toffs) which is for the over 25`s, Club Salvation which recently got an extention and a revamp its previous name was Nexus and BPM which is just across the street from Club Salvation and that used to be a normal bar called Mcmillans.

Now this shows you how things have changed in a couple of years and yes there is plenty of space and different floor which has one for Dance Music, one for Indie Music and then there is a floor for your R & B/Hip-Hop Music.Now this is one of the good parts of what the club has to offer.

The shame is with most clubs these days if you want a Pint Of Lager, A Coke, Red Bull and Vodka, Alcopop or any other type of drink then you have to pay the price and you may think you have
been thrifty so far but then this hits you aswell for the admission which is cheap up until a certain time and then after about 10:30
pm it cost a bit more.

I really did enjoy going here but it has definitely lost its credibility and I would only really go here on special occasions or if a good friend was really up for going there.

Summary: This once decent club has let its standards slip to become just another place.
