I went to the gallery nightclub as a first time visitor to the city, due to my experience at this club i doubt i will ever return. Within half an hour i had a drink thrown at me from the balcony because a girl decided she didnt like how i danced, then she and her boyfriend proceeded to attack me, he held me in a headlock and punched me in the face and she kicked me in the stomach. the couple they were with both set upon my friend while a group of male and female spectators watched and did not attempt to help either of us. The door staff escorted us out 'for our own safety'. after a long time with the police it turned out the people who had assaulted us were still enjoying thier night out. this is because they were regulars. The staff refused to look through the cctv or investigate any further but police insisted on looking through the tapes, when they asked about this management finally told them that the tapes had already been looked at and shed no light on the situation as the incident conveniently happened in a blind spot. As it was our word against theirs the police were no help at all. This has totally destroyed my faith in the justice system and human compassion. I am disgusted and would not reccoment this club to anybody.
