I have only ever been to Garlands on a Thursday night during term time as a uni student so i cannot comment on the rest of the nights but i will review the number of thursdays i have been there! When you first walk up Erbele Street on a Thursday night normally about 11/12pm the first thing you notice is the amount of student queueing up. Although there is normally a theme on a Thursday night as it is a Vodka Nation student night the majority of people tend to ignore the fancy dress guidelines and just wear normal dressing up clothes. As a clubbing fresher going to Liverpool for the 1st time, i already knew about Cream and its vast reputation, but when i arrived i saw posters for another club, Garlands, having not heard much about it myself and 2 mates decided to give them both a go. Cream was what i expected, a huge dark room full of proper clubbers listening to proper house music, it was, and still is just great. Garlands however is something different, but also a bit special, in the queue expect to be talked to by nuns on stilts, policemen in bikinis, basically anything they can think up!!
