Heaven and Hell (Leeds) Reviews

Heaven and Hell (Leeds) Club National

Newest Review: ... busy except if you go in the student holidays. It has three floors of music - heaven for you cheese lovers, bar purgatory to chill out in and Hell for those who like nothing more than to boogie to house tunes all night. At a weekend, like all night clubs it is pricey to get in and drinks are expensive but midweek is a whole different matter. Ranging from 80p to £4 entrance depending on the weekenight you'd be hard pushed to spend £20 with a wide choice of drinks at a £1 bottle, alcopops and beers. With it getting very busy during term time that also means it gets very hot so be warned you'll probably finish the evening very hor a... more

Not for me but for the clubbing fan definately (1125 words)

Not being a fan of clubbing it’s strange that I find myself writing an opinion on a nightclub, let alone one in Leeds. As my recent opinions have shown I don’t see the appeal with nightclubs yet I was dragged along on a stag night, well you can’t say no can you! After wondering round Leeds, and going into several bars we were given VIP tickets for Heaven and Hell from a bar called ‘Yates’ (I think it was getting late though!). Off we all trundled through the streets of Leeds down Grand Arcade and there was a little dingy doorway, surrounded by bouncers and barriers, opposite the ‘Atrium’. The queue was unliveable ...  Read the complete review

Heaven and Hell (Leeds): Heaven or hell? (295 words)

Heaven and Hell opened last year in the centre of Leeds on the old Pleasure room site, it is a large club with a capacity of around 1300. It is split into three levels. You enter on the Purgatory level, this is the smallest of the 3 rooms with 2 large seating areas, a bar and a small raised dancefloor. The music in this room is usually a bit funky, from r n b through to hip hop. If you continue into the club it is downstairs to hell and up to heaven, obviously! Up in heaven there are 2 bars, a small seating area, a VIP room and a very crowded dance floor. The music is pure cheese and on the cheap student nights it can get rather messy up here. Down in hell the music ...  Read the complete review

Heaven and Hell is a new club opened in Leeds this year. The original Heaven and Hell was in Blackpool, and like its predecessor the new Heaven and Hell has been hugely successful. The club has three floors: heaven-playing cheese, bar purgatory-playing garage and R n B, and hell-playing hard house and dance music. Student night is on Wednesday, Thursday nights also proved to be really popular this year with many drinks on offer for only £1. Highly recommended to anyone taking a trip to Leeds. ...  Read the complete review

Heaven and Hell (Leeds): Well, half right (191 words)

Heaven and Hell. Well in my opinion that's only half right. I found this club to be truely unpleasant. I went on the Thursday student night. The club is on three levels. The basement is Hell, the first floor Heaven, and in between is he Purgatory Bar. Initially, the night wasn't too bad - promotions meant that drinks were reasonably priced (I am a poor student so these things are important), and in Heaven at least the music was quite good (everybody's favourites Britney, 5ive, Ricky et al - crap but enjoyable crap). Unfortuneately as the night drew on the club became more and more crowded and hotter and hotter. There seemed to be no air ...  Read the complete review
