Manchester is one of the best cities in the UK for it's nightclub in my opinion. It contains a huge amount of nightclubs so you've really got to have that special something to stand out. As a student there, I was always spoilt for choice & even though I was there for 4 years, there's quite a few places I never got the chance to visit. However Jilly's wasn't one of these.

Jilly's Rockworld is located on the famous Oxford Road, a few minutes walk away from Picadilly Gardens at the very centre of Manchester. It's very distinctive & offers something completly different from the rest.

If you love your rock, metal or indie type music you will fall in love with this place and make it your second home. There are 3 rooms each playing a different style of music so alot of variety on offer. The crowd is always friendly & up for a good time.

The place is open on Thursday - Saturday nights, and you can get free entry on most nights if you catch someone gives out flyers near by which they regularly are. Even if you don't, this is not an expensive place to get into. As an added bonus, drinks prices are quite reasonable when compared to other club, especially if you get in early when they have additional promos.

My only negative about the whole place is that it does suffer from sticky floors which can get abit annoying.

If you're into your rock music, the place is a must. I recommend going on a Friday night where they have an all-nighter so you can dance the night away until 7am!
