Advantages: All night fun, Savage music, Extremely friendly atmosphere

Disadvantages: erm...., well......, none really!

Hey kids,

I just thaught I'd take a minuit or two to try and explain a few of Rockworld's fantastic assets. It's not a piece of cake though, this club is one of those where you just have to go and make up yer own mind.

I started to go to Jilly's about 6 months ago, my mates Mark, Tom and Rob had been pestering me for ages to follow in their footsteps and try it. I never used to be in to clubs, especially rock clubs, but this place blew me away. The lack of trendy people who look for status rather than a good time, dress code out of the window, brilliant, loud music, a more than friendly atmosphere and that sense of full acceptance to society that only Jilly's can cater for!

Im so glad I tried it. Now I try to go every other friday.

The club is positioned just near the Macdonalds on Oxford road. Its about 10 minuits walk from Picadilly and Victoria Stations and 5 minuits walk from Picadilly gardens.

Whare what you want, look how you want, dance how you want and basically stay for as long as you want- one of Rockworld's main assets is it's all night license- what a buzz man!

The club consists of 4 rooms and the lobby to chill in:

The first room (the main room) plays a wide veriety of music throughout the night ranging from the likes of pantara and slayer to mainsteam feeder and rage to the prodigy and underworld. This is my favourite room as the music, layout, atmosphere and content is spot on.

The second room is the goth room. Its not my kind of thing but I can see the attraction. Sometimes its good to sit in the extensive seating in there and mellow out listening to the repetative beats of ministry. The clientel in this room is alot different to the other rooms, I think that you must be a certain kind of person to stay in there all night. Its hard to explain, you have to see it really.

The third room is the classic rock room AKA the fishbowl. Again this is
not my kind of thing as it requires a cerain type of person - 30-40 years old maybee with an undying passion for sabath and guns and roses - with a hint of Bon Jovi in there to.

The fourth room is the chillout room. This is more my kind of thing. I often pay the humble fourt room a visit for a breath of fresh air and a quick peek of a lighter atmosphere. Indie is the main form of music in the fourth room with mellow rock mixed in there. So, if your nto the charlitans, oasis or the pixies, you should at least lend this room half an hour of your time.

GO - but make sure its on a friday night- its top!!!

Anyway, laters potatas

I'm a regular visitor to Manchester, but wasn't aware of this place.
Some information on where it is would be useful.
