I am going to have to disagree with DJlcm about Legends in Newcastle, and say that it is one of THE best clubs Ive been to, and definately one of the best clubs in Newcastle.
Legends has something for everyone, with the Mile High Club room playing all the latest House and Trance, and the R&B room playing all the best hiphop and R&B. It is quite a small club - but that makes it even better. In bigger clubs you only end up losing your mates and the sound gets lost. The R&B room is quite small, and has a low ceiling - and I do admit it can get very sweating in there after everyone's been doing their spot of 'bump and grinding'. The Mile High club room is much bigger and also has a nice sitting area upstairs (and the seats are nothing like bus seats - nice red leather seats actually!)
There are 3 bars in Legends, so there's never a problem of queing to get a drink. And another point about the drinks - they dont cost a bomb! If you go in quite early (before 10pm) there is a happy hour, and after that the drinks are never that expansive. £2.60 for bottles and £2 for vodka and RedBull - which I thin is pretty good.
The DJs are also of very high standard, with the likse of Dave Pearce and Sonique making regualr appearences.
If I could recommend a night club to any visitor to the north east Legends would be right at the top of the list!!
