Advantages: Clean/ good layout, Good atmosphere, taxis
Disadvantages: Expensive
Given that i am not your 'typical' clubber and that my preference for a Saturday night would usually be late bars i was pleasantly surprised by my experience, once i had gotten over the cost of entrance. However if your a regular clubber it is standard prices. Once your in things don't get much cheaper with drinks averaging about £5. It is open untill 5 o'clock so you can make sure you get your moneys worth. Considering i can't usually listen to dance music for more then 10 minutes at a time, i found myself dancing for over an hour. However i soon became bored of the repetitive nature of the music and decided to leave the dance floor and head for the bar. Fabric is a fairly big club with different rooms so once you become bored with one room you can go and explore what else it has to offer and if you don't feel like dancing you can just sit down and chill. There was a good atmosphere there, people were friendly and there was no hassle. The toilets are unisex which is abit boring these days as everyone seems to be doing it. I prefer single sex toilets, somewhere you can escape to gossip and reapply your face! I was really impressed with the taxi service at the end of the night which is organised by the club. Staff members are waiting outside make sure you get a registered (albeit one of theirs, but at least you know you will get home safe) We got a taxi fro six straight away, which is usually virtually impossible! On the whole i had a really good night, despite the fact it is not usually my scene and i was extremely hesitant about going. I would definately recommend it!

- 14/04/03 Great review. Maybe you could tell us a bit about each individual room and whether there was a certain DJ etc. :) |
